Raged Lab / Signal -> Intelligence -> Action
I build systems that sense the world and respond intelligently.
I am Kritim Bastola, a Master's student in Computer Science at the University of New Mexico, originally from Nepal. I work at the intersection of research, software, robotics, accessibility, and human-centered technology.
Current Status
Researcher-builder in orbit.
Signal Feed
Live threads from the lab.
- [HRV DATA] collecting participant heartbeat signals
- [HAPTICS] obstacle detection belt prototype
- [AI AGENTS] support triage automation
- [ANIMAL AUDIO] dog-human communication MVP
- [ROBOTICS] humanoid + autonomous systems research
- [CULTURE] books, films, ideas, philosophy
Mission Map
Major systems connected by one pattern: sense, reason, act.
Raged Lab is organized around missions instead of a standard project grid. Each mission explores a signal: biological, environmental, audio, support-workflow, or robotic.
Featured Missions
Flagship projects
Accessibility / Embedded Systems / HCI
BVI Indoor Navigation Belt
A wearable haptic obstacle-detection belt for blind and visually impaired people, using Time-of-Flight sensors, Arduino logic, and vibration feedback.
Open Case StudySpeculative Intelligence / AI / Audio
DogBridge
A human-animal communication MVP framed honestly as intent-estimation from dog audio, owner context, labels, and feedback.
View MissionAI Agents / Workflow Automation
Support Triage + Auto Resolution Agent
A practical AI support operations app that triages and responds to support issues through a multi-step agent workflow.
View MissionResearch Preview
Applied research, health data, maps, and accessibility.
Current research work includes participant heartbeat data, FEMA-related data workflows, peer-review support, and maintaining research web infrastructure for Dr. Lavin.
UNM Nursing
Research Assistant
Heartbeat devices, FEMA data, participant workflows, and paper submission support.
Maps / GIS
Data Dashboards
QGIS, OpenLayers, and research dashboards for geospatial and county-level signals.
Observatory
Books, films, and ideas as cultural signals.
A future living log for notes from books, films, philosophy, quantum ideas, space, robotics, Nepal, and technology in society.
Books
Books I am Reading
Short notes, quotes, and ideas that influence the lab.
Films
Films I Watched
Reflections from cinema, visual systems, and speculative worlds.
